Self-Esteem And Self-Concept Among Children With Hearing Impairment A Comparative Study
Area of research: EDUCATION
This Study Investigates Differences In Self-esteem And Self-concept Between Children With Hearing Impairment (HI) And Their Hearing Peers. A Sample Of 120 Students (60 With Hearing Impairment And 60 Hearing Students), Aged 10–16 Years, Participated In The Study. The Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) And The Tennessee Self-Concept Scale (TSCS) Were Administered Using Accessible Communication Modes, Including Sign-supported And Simplified Language Formats Where Required. A Comparative, Cross-sectional Research Design Was Adopted, And Both Descriptive And Inferential Statistical Techniques Were Employed For Data Analysis. The Findings (illustrative Data) Revealed That Children With Hearing Impairment Scored Significantly Lower On Overall Self-esteem And Academic And Physical Self-concept Domains Compared To Their Hearing Peers. However, No Significant Differences Were Observed In Social And Moral Self-concept Domains. Qualitative Responses Further Indicated That Factors Such As Peer Acceptance, Communication Accessibility, Teacher Attitudes, And Parental Support Played A Crucial Role In Shaping Self-perception Among Children With Hearing Impairment. The Study Emphasizes The Need For Inclusive Psychosocial Support Programmes, Counselling Services, Effective Communication Strategies, And Peer Sensitization Initiatives To Foster Positive Self-esteem And Healthy Self-concept Development Among Children With Hearing Impairment.

Area of research: NA
The Evolution Of Sun Protection Has Increasingly Shifted From Synthetic Chemical Filters—often Associated With Environmental Toxicity And Adverse Health Effects—toward Natural, Plant-based Alternatives. This Review Explores The Photoprotective Potential Of Lycopene Derived From Watermelon (Citrullus Lanatus), A Potent Carotenoid With Superior Antioxidant Properties. Unlike Traditional UV Filters That Physically Block Radiation, Lycopene Functions As An Internal Biological Shield, Quenching Singlet Oxygen And Neutralizing Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) Generated By UV Exposure. This Paper Highlights The Distinct Advantages Of Watermelon-derived Lycopene, Specifically Its High Bioavailability Due To The Prevalence Of The Cis-isomeric Form, Compared To Other Sources Like Tomatoes. Furthermore, The Study Examines The Synergistic Efficacy Of Lycopene When Combined With Mineral Blockers Such As Zinc Oxide And Titanium Dioxide, Offering Broad-spectrum Protection While Mitigating Photoaging And Inflammation. Despite Formulation Challenges Regarding Lipophilicity And Stability, Advanced Delivery Systems Such As Nano-emulsions Show Promise In Enhancing Efficacy. Area of research: Civil Engineering
In The Current Construction-oriented Environment, It Is Crucial To Find An Additional Cementing Material That Can Enhance Strength While Minimizing Negative Environmental Consequences. The Main Objective Of This Research Project Is To Assess The Feasibility Of Using Autoclave-aerated Concrete Block Dust And Cellular Lightweight Concrete As Partial Substitutes For Cement. Essential Properties Such As Consistency And Specific Gravity Were Evaluated And Compared To Those Of Conventional Portland Cement. The Study Reveals That Incorporating Cellular Lightweight Concrete Block Dust As A Replacement For Up To 20% Of The Standard Mortar Cube Improves Its Strength. However, Higher Levels Of Replacement Result In Slower Hydration And A Porous Microstructure, Leading To Reduced Compressive Strength Of The Cube. The Study Also Indicates That Mortar Cubes Containing 20% Replacement Of Cellular Lightweight Concrete Block Dust Exhibit A Higher Calcite Content Compared To Those With No Replacement, As Observed In A Sample Cube.

In This Paper, We Present A Tomato Disease Detection System Which Utilizes Transfer Learning With Three Very Popular Deep Learning Models, InceptionV3, DenseNet, And VGG19. This Paper Presents A Comprehensive Comparative Study Of The Architectures Of These Models, Measuring And Investigating Their Accuracy And Efficiency For Diagnosing Common Tomato Diseases Before Ultimately Being Able To Determine The Most Capable Model For Agricultural Research In To The Future. Through The Evaluation Of The Performance Of These Models, We Provide Important Knowledge Of Their Strengths And Weaknesses, Which Can Underpin Evidence-based Disease Control Interventions. Our Results Are Indicative Of The Potential To Improve Crop Health Surveillance And Enhance Sustainable Farming Practices. This Work Not Only Advances The Use Of Computer Vision In Agriculture, But Also Provides Practical Interpretation For Farmers And Industry Actors. Developing Reliable Disease Identification Tools Can Enable Early Detection And Treatment Of Plant Disease That Would Result In Yield Losses And Boosting Farm Productivity. Moreover, The Inclusion Of Deep Learning Approaches In Agriculture Allows For Data-driven Decision That Provides And Optimizes Use Of Resources And Efficiencies In Operations. Collaborative Research That Emphasizes The Integration Of Artificial Intelligence To Modernize Agriculture Will Improve Collaboration Between Technology And Agriculture. These Findings Have Implications For Increasing Food Security, Revitalizing Rural Economies, And Promoting Environmental Sustainability, Moving The Agricultural Sector Forward In A Meaningful Way.
