Expansive Soils, Popularly Known As Black Cotton Soils, Are Basically Susceptible To Detrimental Volumetric Changes, With Changes In Moisture. This Behaviour Of Soil Is Attributed To The Presence Of Mineral Montmorillonite, Which Has An Expanding Lattice.
